Canoeing

Konin region has a huge amount of waterways, especially used by canoeists. The most popular among them is a stretch of Warta river from Koło (436 km of the river Warta) by Waki (424 km), Konin - Old Town (403.1 km), Rumin (396.3 km), Sławsk (392.2 km), Sługocin (382.5 km), to Ląd (370.3 km).

The optimal solution is the choice of route not longer than 30-40 miles in all-day rafting (5-8 h). The section of the canal Warta-Gopło (32 miles) is equally popular among canoeists, destination lead from Konin by 4 locks, a chain of Konin lakes, until Lake Gopło. Both the section of Canal and  River Warta from Konin to Ląd are one of the most attractive parts of the south-eastern section of the Great Loop of Wielkopolska region (690 km).

Moreover, Konin region includes many shorter, but equally attractive canoe routes, among them Canal Ulga - around the Island Pociejewo (1.9 km; channel is currently exacerbated - as of the first quarter of 2012 year), Canal Grójecki i.e. stretch from Lake Lubstowskie to Warta river (20 km), stretch Struga Zarzewska: stretch Kuchary Kościelne - Warta river (12 km), Powe: stretch Lisiec Wielki - Rumin (18 miles) and upper rout of river Notec: stretch Łysek - Koszewo (15 km).
